On Monday, 31 January, Year 12 kicked off the school year by attending a half-day workshop. Dr Blades organised a workshop to explain the examination and assessment procedures in order to help clarify what students should do in the case of an emergency or sickness so that they can still be assessed fairly for their ATAR.
Past students Jacinta Lynch (School Captain 2017) Aiesha Oringo (School Vice Captain 2017) and Micah Silva (Class of 2018) then came to give the class a talk about their time in Year 12 and their academic journeys after school ended. During the discussion they answered questions and gave out helpful advice about study habits and university courses.
The input from Dr Blades and the past students, and the survival kits which were given to the class at the end of the session, all helped the class of 2022 to start the school year confident and ready to tackle the HSC.
