Member for Londonderry, Prue Car MP, launched the Londonderry Spirit of ANZAC competition in the lead-up to ANZAC Day 2021, to acknowledge the significance of one of Australia's most important dates.  It was open to all Primary and High School students in Londonderry, who were asked to submit either a short essay, poem, or piece of artwork about what the Spirit of Anzac meant to them.

Our very own Emily (4G) was one of the Primary winners of the Londonderry Spirit of ANZAC Award. To read Emily's winning essay, please click on the pictures below.

"The spirit of ANZAC day means a lot to me. The spirit of ANZAC day occurred when the men of Australia and New Zealand fought courageously for their countries and revealed a great act of bravery on this day."
