For Year 9's PDHPE unit, "Physical Activity for Me", they had a visit from Stephan Rochecouste Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT. Born with Spina Bifida, Stephen has played various sports from wheelchair tennis to wheelchair rugby league. Stephan's aim is to teach young people about how society can promote inclusive behaviours for all!
The students were fortunate enough to play a game of wheelchair basketball! The session was extremely insightful and provided everyone with a fantastic opportunity to see how individuals who experience a physical disability can still maintain active lives and be involved in various team and individual sporting opportunities.
