Year 11 and 12 Physics students were fortunate to visit the Richmond RAAF Base for World Engineering Day. With fun activities set up by engineers and technicians in the Air Force, Physics and STEM stalls, and career presentations, it was a jam-packed day!
Our students learned about materials used to build planes, how to operate bomb disposal robots, and had the chance t to speak to specialists in the field! The excursion ended with viewing the “C-130J Hercules” and other aircraft, followed by an air-drop simulation.
What a great experience! Thank you to Miss Isip and Dr Blades for organising this excursion and Wing Commander Chris Hersey for the special invite.
