At the end of Term 1, 3 teams of Montgrove College had the amazing opportunity to take part in the Metro Minds STEAM Challenge. The goal for the challenge was to find a problem at the Sydney Metro and come up with a solution.
The teams worked hard on their ideas throughout Term 2 and were fortunate enough to have a visit from Sydney Metro Ambassadors to help guide them in the thinking and design process.
In 2024, more than 410 students from 17 schools participated in the challenge with over 60 submissions. We are delighted to say that Montgrove College made it through to the finals. Only 5 teams were selected.
Congratulations to the following Y10 students (called the Ultrasonic Vengers) who made it through to the finals and have to present their idea in person during a live event to a judging panel of Sydney Metro experts on the 23rd of August.
