Last Friday, Year 2 embarked on their very first excursion to Sydney Zoo!
They enjoyed a cultural talk from an Indigenous Australian, named Nikkia, who spoke about different tools that the Indigenous Australians would typically use. She even said that when babies were born, they were wrapped in possum fur! As they wandered the zoo, the girls learned about a wide range of animals from all parts of the world including Africa and Asia. The students had so much fun and learned plenty of new things. Two students were generous enough to share their testimonies about the experience.
"My favourite part of the day was going to the aquarium!" Ella S.
"It was such a fun day but I was exhausted by the end!" Cecilia A.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to what was an amazing day!
